How do I get added to the HOA's Private Facebook Group?
We encourage you to join the "Hill Side Home Owners" private Facebook Group to keep up with and join in the latest community happenings. Please contact the facebook page manager to request membership. Recommend include your name, email address, and house address in the request.
How do I get a copy of the HOA Documents?
The HOA Documents with amendments are posted on this website. They are also available at the county court house.
When and Where is the Annual HOA meeting?
The HOA meetings are usually held in late October or very early November. An email and letter will be sent to you letting you know the specific date about a month before the meeting.

Who should I contact to gain approval to build a shed or fence in accordance with the HOA By-laws?

What if trees/shrubs in one of the common areas is dead or dying?
Please use the ‘Contact’ form with information regarding its location and even include a photo if you are able.
What if I live adjacent to a walking/biking path?
Please remember to shovel or plow the walking/biking path if it directly neighbors your property.
What if I have trees adjacent to a walking/biking path?
If you have trees alongside the walking/bike trail please keep them trimmed so that branches are not hanging over the walking path. Local ordinance states they should be trimmed to allow at least an 8 foot clearance.
Security & Safety Questions
What if I see suspicious or criminal activity?
Please call the police immediately (911) to report any obviously suspicious or criminal activity. In addition, if you have a concern or question that may not warrant a police response you can post on the Hillside Farms Facebook page or use the community email to inform neighbors and/or get feedback.
What is the soliciting ordinance for Hillside Farms?
Soliciting is only allowed until 8:00PM or dusk. All solicitors MUST have a valid ID and a soliciting permit that is registered with the Silver Springs Township Police Department. The solicitor must produce both upon request, so please ask! If you are suspicious for any reason, refuse to speak with them and contact the police.
How do I contact PPL if my street light is out/down?
Please call locally @ 717-257-5922 / and toll-free @ 1-800-dial-ppl (1-800-342-5775) or utilize the PPL website. They will need the serial number on the light post (on a small placard located close to eye level). Please report as soon as possible. You may need to call more than once.
What are the HOA recommendations regarding property lighting?
Keep your house exterior lights on when it gets dark. This is a crime deterrent. The more houses are well-lit, the better!! It is important to pay attention to how well-lit your home is at night as you may need to reset light timers on the exterior and interior of your homes depending on the time of year and daylight savings time.
